We were thrilled to take home a phenomenal seven Cream Awards from Wednesday’s event, including three Gold’s, three Silver’s and one Bronze. These included wins in hotly contested categories such as Digital Media, in which seven different agencies were nominated and we were rewarded for our work with Birmingham Airport on its ‘Hello World’ campaign.
Marketing Manager of Birmingham Airport Beth Purdue praised Connect for the project:
“The new Birmingham Airport website was a large project with many different parties involved, all credit to everyone who enabled the creation of this inspirational design. We are delighted and very proud that Connect won.”
Further highlights of the night included two wins in the Low Budget TV/Cinema category with our Finning film winning a Gold award, and our Dry Like Me TV commercial taking home a Silver.
Speaking of the work for Dry Like Me, the company’s Directors Diane Titterton & Judith Hough were delighted to see the campaign gain such recognition saying:
“The awards are a testament to the creativity of Connect showing that they were able to deliver such a high quality commercial to such a tight budget. The campaign itself has been extremely effective for our brand”
Equally pleased with the success of their award winning campaign was Elizabeth Smith, Marketing Manager of Finning:
“Connect delivered a completely fresh innovate approach to communicating our message and I am delighted to see that they have been recognised with Gold in the Cream awards.”
With three awards for their Reduced Stock campaign, Robert Lee Director of Lee Longlands spoke of the result:
"We’ve worked with Connect for many years and to hear last night that the ‘Reduced stock’ ad promoting our Cookware sale items had won awards in various categories was great news. We’d set the creative team a tough challenge but with 54% increase in sales it demonstrates that clever ads can not only sell product but also win awards."
