When most people hear the name Tarmac they immediately think of roads, which is hardly surprising given that the company invented the modern road surface. However, that was over a century ago and a lot has changed since then. Today, Tarmac is involved in every sector of the UK economy; leading the way in the construction of sustainable housing and intelligent buildings, the development of our energy and water supply networks and the creation of next generation transport solutions. 

Connect has been working with Tarmac for over 8 years, helping the company change perceptions amongst existing customers and establish itself in new markets. 

In 2012 Tarmac joined forces with Lafarge to create the UK’s largest supplier of construction materials and associated services. Connect was appointed to launch the new Lafarge Tarmac brand. This included everything from the creation of corporate and product literature, to the design and development of the company’s award-winning website. 

In 2015 we were commissioned to undertake a similar exercise following the brand’s acquisition by CRH. The first stage of this was the creation of a brand film to convey their vision for the future - to be the UK’s leading provider of sustainable construction solutions. Not just a reliable supplier, but a visionary partner. An innovative business that can add value at every stage - of any project. A company that can take ideas that only exist on paper and bring them to life.
